Rongsheng Heavy Industries is putting the final touches to the new platform at its yard in Nantong in Jiangsu province with delivery expected towards the end of this month.
China's offshore engineering, procurement and installation contractor Offshore Oil Engineering Corporation is expected to install the platform in June, sources said.
CNOOC will drill four production wells at the new platform to boost production by 1 million cubic metres per day.
