Chinese yard CIMC Raffles has signed a commercial contract with Brazil’s Petrobras to build the hull for a floating production, storage and offloading vessel that will be installed in the Santos basin pre-salt province off Brazil, confirming an Upstream report of 6 September, writes Xu Yihe.
CIMC officials said the contract was signed on Monday this week and will commit the company to completing the hull in 18 to 19 months, with steel cutting expected in the first half of next year.
