The US Coast Guard (USCG) has begun operations to contain and control a long-leaking oil spill off Louisiana after the federal government took over operations in November, while the former platform owner fights the government's demands for more clean-up responsibility in court, writes Julia Martinez.
At issue is a platform on Mississippi Canyon Block 20 that was owned and operated by privately held company Taylor Energy.
