US Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden has released a climate plan that if he were to win the party's nomination and ensuing election would look to restrict oil and gas activity as part of efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The $1.7 trillion proposal would work to achieve net-zero emissions and 100% clean energy by 2050.
The plan would be paid for over 10 years by a reversal of US President Donald Trumps corporate tax cuts as well as ending subsidies for fossil fuels.
