The 120-metre ship, the Boa DeepC, is undergoing final outfitting at the Vulcano Shipyard in Vigo, Spain, for the Clough-Aker Marine Contractors Subsea partnership (Casp), the owners of the vessel.

Full commissioning is scheduled for January 2004 before delivery the following month.

After delivery the Boa DeepC will move to Snohvit to install the subsea manifolds using its 250-tonne main crane. Statoil has also hired the ship to install mooring lines for the Kristin floating production platform.

Although Casp has only those two contracts confirmed thus far, the partnership expects soon to sign a contract for outfitting a sister hull, the Boa DeepC II.
