Mexico’s hydrocarbons regulator this year expects to approve an additional 36 exploration and development plans as state-run Pemex continues to push discovered fields to development and private operators continue to ramp up activity.
Developments from new entrants such as Italy’s Eni, Argentina’s Pan American Energy and Fieldwood are expected to yield about 190,000 to 220,000 barrels per day at peak production.
