The company has outlined an expansion plan for the field that aims to boost oil production by 52,000 barrels per day from the current 30,000 bpd through the drilling of 110 production wells.
CNOOC’s research centre is carrying out a feasibility study into expanding the project by adding a gathering platform and two smaller unmanned satellite platforms, tied back through a 13-kilometre subsea pipeline to the Hai Yang Shi You 112 floating, production, storage and offloading vessel.
