The first phase development of four offshore blocks could start as early as 2012, to be led by the Kenli 3-2 field.
When in full operation, the four blocks will produce about 2.8 million cubic metres (about 50,000 barrels per day) of oil per annum, sources close to the plan said.
Block A, which involves developing the Bozhong 27-4/5 and Kenli 3-2 field complex, will be able to produce from six fields, while Block B, comprising Bozhong 29 and 35 structures, is targeted to produce five fields.
