China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) has struck a deal with the Zhanjiang municipal government in Guangdong province to jointly develop an oilfield complex in the South China Sea’s shallow western waters that envisages the use of concrete platforms for the first time in China.
In a ground-breaking agreement signed between CNOOC Zhanjiang and the Zhanjiang government, CNOOC will act as the operator of the Wushi oilfield complex.
