Industry sources said that CNOOC has reserved space and additional capacity at the platform and a gas terminal in Zhuhai city in south China’s Guangdong province so that more gas fields will be tied back for future development.
The company is carrying out a feasibility study to tie back new gas finds in shallow waters to the CEP, from where the gas will be moved to the Zhuhai terminal.
