State-owned China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is building a new pipeline section to bypass the damaged area of its operated onshore export pipeline infrastructure that delivered gas from Posco Daewoo’s Shwe project off Myanmar to neighbouring China, writes Amanda Battersby.
The new 43.6-kilometre bypass section is being built at the request of China's Guizhou provincial government after a blast on the main pipeline that occurred on 10 June following landslides caused by heavy rains in the area.
