Shell released the invitations to tender for Bonga South West-Aparo (BSWA) in February, after agreeing heads of terms for the resolution of issues related to OML 118, writes Iain Esau.

These issues included a dispute with state-owned Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) over the terms of the production sharing contract.

After these terms were agreed, Shell said it had “a clear commercial framework for a potential BSWA final investment decision”.
