While solving the problem of fugitive natural gas emissions is undoubtedly a daunting task, there has to date been some success in reducing emissions at the company level, writes Caroline Evans.
“You can certainly look at individual companies and you can see companies that have invested upfront in the infrastructure, in the gathering lines, the gas processing plants,” says Colin Leyden, senior manager, state regulatory and legislative affairs for energy at green group the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF).
