The concept conflict in the North of Alvheim-Krafla-Askja area centres on two competing solutions that would develop a varying number of the area’s discoveries, writes Ole Ketil Helgesen.

Aker BP’s preferred solution involves a new hub platform in the central part of the area with processing and living quarters and capacity to produce about 107,000 barrels of oil and 16 million standard cubic metres of gas per day.
