US Permian player Concho Resources has entered a joint venture to build a 100-mile (160-kilometre) crude gathering system, with initial flows anticipated later this year.

Concho will team up with privately owned Frontier Midstream Solutions to develop the 150,000 barrels per day Beta Crude Connector in the northern Midland sub-basin of the Permian.

Each company will hold a 50% equity interest, with Frontier serving as operator.
