CONGO-Brazzaville’s state oil company SNPC has finally launched an onshore-offshore licensing round planned last year but held in abeyance pending passage of the legislative framework.

Thirteen production sharing licences are on offer comprising eight offshore and five onshore blocks.

The exercise excludes acreage currently held within the so-called ZIC Permit managed jointly with neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo.

The closing date for offers is 31 January 2017, with bid evaluations expected to conclude by the end of March alongside the announcement of results.
