The US operator is said to have concluded that continuing LPG production is now not commercially viable.
The Belanak facilities were able to deliver 23,000 barrels per day of LPG in separate propane and butane streams.
Gas from the field will continue to be exported to Malaysia and Singapore by pipeline. Last November ConocoPhillips launched a tender to decommission the Belanak LPG floating storage and offloading unit, Gas Concord, which is leased from Compass Energy.
