Operators ConocoPhillips and Centrica have separately submitted plans to the UK government to decommission a number of southern North Sea facilities, writes Rob Watts.
Both companies this week submitted a series of draft plans to the UK Department of Energy & Industrial Strategy, which regulates decommissioning of offshore oil and gas installations.
ConocoPhillips is looking to abandon the Vulcan UR, Viscount VO and Vampire OD platforms and associated pipelines.
