Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, a son of Saudi Arabia's king, has pledged that there will be no change in Saudi oil policy after taking over as Energy Minister following the dismissal of Khalid al-Falih, who orchestrated production cuts between Opec and non-members such as Russia.

It is the first time a member of the ruling Al-Saud family has been given direct stewardship of the Energy Ministry, which sets policy and co-ordinates efforts within Opec to stablise the oil market.
