Up to five contractors including Technip, SapuraKencana Petroleum and Emas have been vying for the five-year subsea inspection, maintenance and repair services contract.
Sources said a shortlist has been, or is about to be, decided on for work that will include using work-class remotely operated vehicles for inspection, survey and intervention tasks.
Engineering, data processing and testing of subsea facilities is required, and a specific offshore vessel is also needed.
