Up to 17 offshore jack-up drilling rigs have been offered to India's Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in a tender to charter nine units.
Drilling sources told Upstream that ONGC recently received technical and commercial offers from nine offshore drilling contractors that are believed to have together offered up to 17 jack-ups.
The required rigs will be chartered on three-year terms and industry sources are hoping ONGC will finalise contracts during the first quarter.
