Leading offshore engineering players are on the hunt for a major front-end engineering and design contract related to the second phase of Qatar Petroleum’s potential multi-billion dollar Bul Hanine field redevelopment.
Sources said state-owned Qatar Petroleum is pressing ahead with the ambitious offshore project and recently sought expressions of interest for the FEED work.
Those understood to be chasing the work include Australia’s Worley Parsons, Technip of France, the UK’s Amec Foster Wheeler, US giant McDermott, Aberdeen-based Wood Group Mustang and Norway’s Aker Solutions.
