CHINA Offshore Oil Engineering Corporation (COOEC) is understood to have concluded a deal with Brazil’s state-owned Petrobras to complete two floating, production, storage and offloading vessels.

The units will be used to develop two pre-salt oilfields off the South American country, confirming an Upstream story published on 15 May.

Sources said the engineering, procurement and construction contract will commit COOEC to building part of the processing modules and integration and commissioning for two 300,000-dwt FPSOs billed as P-67 and P-70.
