UK independent Coro Energy has, via a cash and shares deal, taken a stake in the West Natuna Exploration Limited-operated (WNEL) Duyung production sharing contract off Indonesia, which hosts the planned Mako shallow-water gas field development, writes Amanda Battersby.
The co-venturers are planning further appraisal of Mako, for which consultant Gaffney Cline & Associates puts proven and probable contingent recoverable resources at 276 billion cubic feet of dry gas.
