Chinese drilling contractor China Oilfield Service Ltd (COSL) has agreed a deal to charter two jack-up drilling rigs to US oil services giant Halliburton for work in Kuwaiti waters.
As a sub-contractor to Halliburton, COSL will deploy two jack-up rigs — Oriental Dragon and Oriental Phoenix — to drill six high-pressure, high-temperature wildcats off Kuwait over a three and a half year period.
