Ferc's environmental assessment for Cove Point concluded that the facility would not affect the "quality of the human environment" with "appropriate mitigating measures". The one-train liquefaction project proposes to export approximately 5.75 million tonnes per annum of LNG by sea from the existing pier. Dominion puts the construction cost between $3.4 billion and $3.8 billion.
A public comment period on the EA is open through 16 June.
