Private US operator Crestone Peak Resources is expecting a permitting approval from Colorado oil and gas officials by next month on a drilling programme that has seen some pushback from local residents amid a new regulatory environment sparked by the passing of Senate Bill 181, writes Julia Martinez.
The Denver-Julesburg producer early last year submitted for local approval the Acme drilling plan, which includes 30 wells and three drilling pads in the town of Erie and will next submit the plan to state regulators at the Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC).
