The Croatian Hydrocarbon Agency (CHA) has launched a third licensing round focused on frontier onshore exploration in the Dinarides area, part of the country that has seen little exploratory attention in comparison with the prolific onshore Pannonian basin.

The CHA issued its call to bid for the area on 8 February, with offers due on 10 September.

“We believe that this area between the Pannonian and the offshore is completely under-evaluated, and now we are offering these four blocks to potential investors,” Marijan Krpan, president of the management board for the CHA, told Upstream in an interview in Houston.
