BP’s sponsorship of cultural institutions in the UK has been put firmly in the frame once again as activists from Extinction Rebellion targeted the supermajor in a protest at the National Portrait Gallery.
Three semi-naked protesters got in the foetal position in the Ondaatje Wing of the London gallery on Sunday before colleagues covered them in a black, oil-like substance.
