Congo-Brazzaville’s parliament is set to vote next month on a new hydrocarbon code which, if approved, will set in motion plans to launch a major licensing round just weeks later.
Jean Baptiste Pouti, strategy advisor at the Ministry of Hydrocarbons, told Upstream that the hydrocarbon code bill is expected to be debated in a “special session” of parliament early next month.
