UK shale gas explorer Cuadrilla Resources has been ordered to review its site in Lancashire, northern England, after it failed to provide required measurements for a number of key chemicals in groundwater, writes Anamaria Deduleasa.

The Environment Agency (EA) ordered urgent action after monitoring at Cuadrilla’s Preston New Road site did not include information on five of the key required substances — acrylamide, fluoride, total alkalinity, methane and carbon dioxide.
