Cuu Long selected Houston-based EDG Consulting two months ago, ahead of US contractor McDermott and Japan’s Nippon Steel Engineering.
However, sources said EDG may not in the end proceed with the FEED work.
If that is the case, Cuu Long will instead hand the FEED contract to either McDermott or Nippon Steel Engineering, with the Japanese company said to be preferred by the Cuu Long consortium.
