Lee is among several high-powered South Korean businessmen who have been charged with violating the law on the export of strategic goods to Burma.
These shipments to the junta were allegedly accompanied by falsified paperwork showing the equipment to be ordinary machinery rather than parts that could be used to manufacture armaments at a facility being built at Pyay, Burma, according to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office.
