BRITISH independent Dana Petroleum is moving the heart of the company closer to its roots in north-west Europe after a successful stint abroad. It is not turning its back on Russia, where it has forged strong relationships with local majors and has just seen the giant Salym project kicked into life. Nor is Dana slowing its twin-pronged assault on Ghana, where it is playing a part in solving the short-term power crisis while striving to prove its belief that the deep-water has some of the promise of Angola.
