Australia's saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) is the largest living reptile in the world, according to Crocodylus Park&Zoo, which is a Darwin-based wonderland for "crocs".
Large males can grow more than six metres in length and exceed a tonne in weight.
The size of the animal enables it to be a predator on animals such as cattle and horses, while unwary people are also at risk.
