The joint venture partners in the Darwin liquefied natural gas facility in northern Australia will later this year select either the Barossa or Evans Shoal fields as its backfill source of gas.
It is understood the Darwin LNG joint venture had originally targeted making its selection in the current quarter.
However well-placed sources said the decision is now likely in the fourth quarter this year.
