The Brazilian National Petroleum Agency (ANP) has set a date for the country’s 16th licensing round under the more market-friendly concession regime, writes Fabio Palmigiani.

The ANP said this week that on 10 October it will offer a total of 36 exploration blocks spread across five offshore basins in the new round.

The blocks will include 13 in the Campos basin, 11 in the Santos basin, five in the new frontier Pernambuco-Paraiba basin, four in the Camamu-Almada basin and three in the Jacuipe basin.
