A UK offshore trade union official said he is shocked at the safety failures that placed the lives of 10 workers and an offshore helicopter air crew at risk on Perenco's normally unattended Davy installation on 16 June.
Jake Molloy, regional organiser of the RMT trade union in Aberdeen, said the incident - first reported by Upstream on Thursday - should act as a "fresh wake-up call" to the rest of the North Sea industry.
