Designed by ABB, the four-column extended tension leg platform (ETLP) will be moored in 4762 feet of water in late July. First production is slated for October after several months of hook-up and commissioning.
Deck integration is nearing completion at Technip's Gulf Marine Fabricators yard near Corpus Christi at Ingleside, Texas.
The two main deck sections, which were built by GMF's North yard, had to be barged up to Kiewit Offshore Services' yard located nearby for installation atop the hull after GMF's own onshore heavylift crane device was rendered inoperative.
