Standing in 535 metres of water in the Gulf of Mexico, this is currently the world's deepest free-standing platform.
The $400 million development was Texaco's first deep-water project.
Like Baldpate, this tower was built and installed in two sections with the grouted connection between them made about 220 metres below water level.
Also like Baldpate, this platform suffered an unpleasant surprise during the installation period, and in this case it caused far more of a delay.
