The operator, which is partnered by state-owned oil and gas fund Nordsofonden on two large blocks in northern Denmark, has homed in on the L1/10 licence in Nordjylland to drill the first probe, which will be called Vendsyssel-1.
The proposed well site is located at Dybvad where the Frederikshavn city council voted in favour of drilling plans at a meeting on 3 December.
