Norwegian operator Det Norske Oljeselskap has taken over stakes in three North Sea licences from UK player Centrica, gaining more control over a potential area development near the abandoned Frigg field.
The cash-free takeover of Centrica’s 30% interests in production licences 422, 026 and 026 B will give the Norwegian independent a 90% stake and the operatorship of the Frigg Gamma Delta discovery, with Lotos as partner, and a 30% holding in the smaller, nearby Rind discovery, operated by Total.
