Devenick is one of four key BP projects due to start up off the UK in the coming years, which, with two further projects off Norway, are set to soak up an estimated $2 billion per annum in capital spending over the next five years.
BP is nearing completion of front-end engineering and design work on the 35-kilometre Devenick subsea tie-back to Marathon’s East Brae platform and is hoping to sanction the project in the third quarter.
