US independent Murphy Oil has discovered additional oil volumes at its Lac Da Vang oilfield off Vietnam, giving added impetus to the development of the shallow-water project, writes Russell Searancke.
Murphy said the Lac Da Trang-1X exploration well had discovered an estimated 39 million barrels of oil to bolster an existing resource of about 100 million barrels at the Lac Da Vang field.
