DNO is looking to boost capacity in the short-term at Tawke to 100,000 barrels per day, and ultimately to 200,000 bpd, from the current level of 70,000 bpd as further reserves upside potential has been revealed with hydrocarbon shows at the Tawke-16 well being drilled on the field’s northern flank, a results presentation was told on Wednesday.

DNO is “seeing what we expected to see” from the well, spudded on 29 December and targeting in-place resources of 500 million barrels beyond the field’s existing proven and probable reserves, said newly appointed country manager for Kurdistan, Nicholas Atencio.
