Oslo-listed Dolphin Drilling has secured a three-well UK North Sea charter from UK independent i3 Energy for its semi-submersible rig Borgland Dolphin, writes Steve Marshall.
The 94-day contract covers appraisal and development drilling duties on i3’s Liberator field and an exploration probe on the Serenity prospect to prove an extension of a neighbouring discovery.
While no value was disclosed for the deal, it is estimated by Bassoe Analytics to carry a dayrate of $140,000 for the warm-stacked rig.
