London-listed Dominion, led by chief executive Michael Garland, is "at an advanced stage of negotiation" with Uganda's government on a production sharing agreement. The deal relates to an area about 200 kilometres west of Kampala that is part of the Western Albertine Rift system, which extends from Lake Albert through Lake Edward, passing into the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Dominion has already incorporated a new subsidiary in Uganda headed by Richard Kaijuka, who served as a cabinet minister there, where his responsibilities included energy, commerce and trade&industry.
