ANGOLA’S President Jose Eduardo dos Santos has signed a decree that will fundamentally change the role of state oil company Sonangol.
However, it comes amid criticism that the reorganisation’s ultimate goal is to preserve power within his family.
Presidential Decree No 109/16 was signed off by the president on 26 May and will tackle Sonangol’s dual roles of both concessionaire and regulator.
