The husband of Sonangol chairwoman Isabel dos Santos has been handed a jail term following a conviction for fraud in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Sindika Dokolo was not in court in Kinshasa to hear the conviction, against himself and brother Luzolo, which stems from a property dispute in DR Congo.
The businessman told UK broadcaster the BBC that the conviction is politically motivated and that he intends to appeal.
