Offshore drilling rig contractors are increasingly optimistic about their market prospects but are concerned that equity markets lag behind in recognising the underlying improvement in business conditions.
“The recovery is here. It’s a matter of the trajectory, how steep the slope is,” Jon Baksht, chief financial officer of the newly merged EnscoRowan, told a conference put on by Marine Money in Houston last week.
